    “The greatest gift you can give someone is your time, your attention, your love, your

concern.” - Joel Osteen. People should spend more time with family. Studies have shown, that kids who don’t spend enough time with their family, get disconnected with them, in their teen years. In later years, when not enough time is spent with family, there can be negative impacts on the person's life. Also, as kids enter their teen years, it becomes tougher to spend quality time with family (Singh).   

     How can families create a stronger relationship? Children can get bored when they’re just sitting around doing nothing. To solve this problem, families should plan everyday activities with their children, so they don’t feel like their families don’t like spending time with them (Singh).

     Another reason family time is important, is because a strong bond needs to be developed with your family. Often times, kids decide to join certain gangs, or groups because they are invited in to be a part of their “family”. Children need a sense of protection, and belonging, as they need to feel that they can turn and look up to. (Singh) .

If children are not taught at home, they will learn elsewhere. It is important for families to have discussions about life lessons so they have a better idea later in life. Families should put down problems and situations in front of them, and talk about them with their children (Singh).

      It is important for families and their children, to get to know each other more, and have time to talk about things that may be bothering the child, and make sure they feel comfortable being around each other (Singh).

      Family time is important, and any free time should be spent with them. Not doing this can lead to some really negative effects. Like, the child won't feel comfortable around their families, and kids could join gangs and groups, because they feel like their families don’t like spending time with them. So, whenever there's time, spend it with family.
