The Benefits of Being Active and Eating Healthy
By Michael P.

A balanced diet and physical activity are very important in improving your cognitive function. These things can also make you absent from school and or work less often (Cartwright). Doing physical activity and eating healthy can provide many health benefits in your life.
Cognitive function is how your brain works or the process of thinking and memorizing. Cognitive function (problem solving, memorizing, and understanding) can be improved from physical activity and eating healthy. This was stated in a study conducted by the C.A.R.D.I.A, which stands for: Cardiorespiratory Fitness and Cognitive Function. This study took a group of people and gave them an I.Q test. They then put them on a diet and a daily physical plan for 3yrs. After, they came back to take the same I.Q test. What they noticed was that there was a big increase in scores. This means they improved their cognitive function (they are now smarter).
With physical activity & a healthy diet your willingness to be absent from events like school or work will decrease. The reasoning for that is because you now know that your brain is working and functioning at a higher lever and correctly. This means you may become even smarter because you are choosing to go to school, and at school they are teaching you new things. So, you should go outside and play.
In the words “physical activity” there is the word physical. This means that there should be some positive effects on the physical side. The biggest one is muscle and strength growth. This can help you on the field, in the court or just in your everyday life.
Some may disagree and claim that they don't have enough time to eat healthy food or exercise every day. First of all you don't have to exercise every day. Second, there are many creative ways to exercise in your everyday life. For example, if you live by a store you could ride a bike or walk there. You could also make a daily exercise routine. You should be set to get and take in the benefits of eating healthy and exercising
Without physical activity and a healthy diet you automatically have a higher chance of getting obese and of getting many other harmful diseases. But, with physical activity and making sure you are eating right, your chances of getting those diseases lowers. In conclusion, physical activity and eating healthy can provide people with a longer and healthier life span. So just stop with the excuses and work it into your daily routine, you will see good result. Then you'll be set for a better life.
